ResumesKevin C. Busch, AIA, CIDMr. Busch is the founder and owner of Busch Architects, Inc. After graduating from the University of Minnesota in 1981, he began work as an architect for a large, well-known Minneapolis firm. Mr. Busch was a participant in many corporate, commercial, and religious building projects from 1981 through 1988. In early 1988, Mr. Busch started Busch Architects. Mr. Busch's experience includes numerous church projects and commercial structures. He also has a strong interest in recreation and athletic facilities. Projects Mr. Busch has designed include Advent Lutheran Church in Maple Grove, Minnesota; Faith Lutheran Church in Coon Rapids, Minnesota; Dunning Recreation Building in Saint Paul, Minnesota; and Cox Insurance Associates Office Building in Roseville, Minnesota. Working with diverse, multi-opinioned groups such as a church building committee or community design task force is one of Mr. Busch's stronger skills. He is also adept at organizing complex building programs and working with complicated construction details such as you might find in remodeling or addition projects. Mr. Busch believes that participation in recreation and sports activities helps create a healthy mind and spirit. He was a three sport letter winner at Alexander Ramsey High School in Roseville, Minnesota and lettered in baseball at the University of Minnesota. He has been a youth sports coach for the last 10 years. Mr. Busch has been married to Felicia Busch for 18 years. They have three sons, Matthew, Ryan, and Daniel. The Busch's live in Falcon Heights, Minnesota. Royce Wiens, AIAAfter graduating from the North Dakota State University in 1995 with honors, Mr. Wiens began work for a smaller architectural firm in the Twin Cities that provides architectural and engineering services around the world for churches and church related organizations. While at MSAADA Mr. Wiens served as a designer on various project types including: schools, churches, medical facilities, national park facilities and housing. In 1998 he was then given the position of Architect-in-charge of the MSAADA Madagascar office where he participated in and oversaw numerous projects within above listed project types through all phases of the design and construction process. From 2001 to 2004 Mr. Wiens then worked for MacDonald and Mack Architects, Ltd. in Minneapolis where he served as job captain for several historical projects including: Mill Ruins Park in Minneapolis, Minnesota; Smith-Douglas-More House / Dunn Brothers Coffee in Eden Prairie, Minnesota; Minneapolis City Hall Rotunda restoration; Minneapolis City Hall Interior Court Window Replacement; Southwest Steam Plant restoration in Minneapolis, Minnesota; Koochiching County Veterans Memorial in International Falls, Minnesota; and the Simpson Church relocation analysis in Monticello, Minnesota. Finally, from 2004 to the present Mr. Wiens has been working with Busch Architects. During this time, Mr. Wiens has been involved as Project Architect with several church and commercial projects including: Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Eagan, Minnesota; Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in St. Louis Park, Minnesota; Hallman Oil in Loretto, Minnesota; Assumption Church in St. Paul, Minnesota; St. James Lutheran Church in Burnsville, Minnesota, Levine Residence in Minneapolis, Minnesota; and the Dakota County Park Signage project for Dakota County, Minnesota. Mr. Wiens' experience includes numerous church projects and commercial structures. He also has a strong interest in historical, environmental, and residential facilities. Mr. Wiens enjoys meeting with clients, understanding their needs and the existing facilities or context of the project and then tailoring the design to fit those parameters in a creative way. Mr. Wiens has been married to Volatiana Wiens for 6 years. The Wiens' live in St. Paul, Minnesota with their dog Sugar. The Wiens' enjoy the outdoors and being involved in their church and in Bible Study Fellowship. Michelle GernerMichelle Gerner is an intern architect at Busch Architects. She provides computer-aided drafting services and also has experience in computer modeling and rendering. Ms. Gerner has experience in building additions and remodeling for a variety of building types, including churches, commercial buildings, and recreational facilities. She enjoys volunteering in the community for a variety of groups, including Habitat for Humanity and Paint-A-Thon. Ms. Gerner holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and a Master of Architecture degree, both from the University of Minnesota. |
